In a first-of-its-kind partnership for FDCI, Italy comes aboard for participation as the Partner Country, with three of its premium organizations all set to showcase at the upcoming AIFW Spring/Summer’17, to be held from October 12-16, 2016 at the NSIC Grounds, Okhla.

ASSOCALZATURIFICI, the Italian Association of Footwear Manufacturers and the AIMPES, the leather goods association of Italy, will be presenting their collections comprising of 41 leading Italian brands.
Designers like David Grillo, Alberto Zambelli, Leitmotiv and Bav Tailor, under the aegis of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (the National Chamber of Italian Fashion), will also be showcasing their designs on the opening day of the event.
This association proves, yet again that the universal language of fashion, whose evolution has braced construction and deconstruction of various identities, diverse narratives over the years, indeed has the power of bringing two different cultures together that speak the same common language of design and style, on one platform.
Trade Commissioner of the Embassy of Italy and Coordinator for Italian Trade Commission Offices in India, Dr. Francesco Pensabene was elated to be joining hands with India’s most premium fashion organization to bring to India, what Italy takes pride in, to strengthen the trade relations between the two countries.
