The first show of the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 17 started with a grand opening showcasing designs in Chanderi by 16 designers who got together to promote the handloom from the province of the same name, in the guidance of Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Samant Chauhan, Label Love Gen, Rina Dhaka and the Italian partnership show.

The second collection by Samant Chauhan was inspired by the Grecian culture and in base shades of Ivory augmented with thread embroidery and hand paints, the Spring Summer looked rather regale and suave. The clean cuts and fine stitch of the off shoulders flowy gowns looked simply ravishing.

The Love Gen collection by Bhavana Pandey, Nandita Mahtani and Dolly Sidhwani that launched in Mumbai last week also debuted on the first day of the fashion week.

The prêt collection by Love gen had ingenuous cuts, bold elements alongside a striking colour palette fit for every urban chic woman. An assortment of prints, alluring monochromatic and di-chromatic ensembles and fabrics that let your skin breathe, was what the label presented, taking you back to those gorgeous summer days. In playful hues of ruby reds, boisterous blues, youthful yellows, pinks and peaches the showcase was a star studded affair with Dino Morea, Nitya Mehra, Chunky Panday, Ritesh Sidhwani attending the do. Actress Disha Patani walked the ramp for Love Gen.
