Srishti Kaur the new Teen Universe 2017 arrives home with the crown today in the capital.  In the country for a short visit before she leaves for London again to pursue her studies, Srishti Kaur is all beaming with joy  at making her country proud “The feeling was incredible! I am elated to bring the Crown to my country,” says the 19 year old about her first thoughts after winning the title.

​​She was received at the airport this morning with a cheerful crowd that included her mother, her friends, relatives, her mentors for the pageant, Rita Gangwani and Melvyn Noronha and members of the Press.

At the recently held Teen Universe pageant in Nicaragua Central America, Srishti Kaur, the student of London school of fashion contested amongst 25 other competitors from different parts of the world and surprised everyone in the jury with her grace, glamour and confidence.

The Teen Diva reminisces, “My journey was an amazing and fantastic ride of multiculturalism. I enjoyed meeting girls from across the world enjoying their stories of their different cultures, seeing their national dances and national costumes! Nicaragua too is a beautiful country in Central America and we got to see the active volcanos, the Cathedrals and the beautiful lakes.”

“The pressures and schedules of the events have taught me so much and have made me stronger and more independent. I have had immense support from my family and friends. Especially my mother Mrs. Jasmeet Kau,r who made sure there was no stone unturned to prepare me for this big moment of my life.”

“My mentors were instrumental in building my confidence for the night. Miss Summer Asia 2017 Akanksha Manchanda was my Dance Instructor, Devashish Majumdar helped me in health and pressure management, Rita Gangwani helped me with my body language and stage presence and Melvyn Noronha was mentor pushing me right until the last moment.”

She also bagged the subtitles Best Haute Couture and Best National Costume which was designed by Devashish and Melvyn, and had a theme to celebrate the astronomical and astrological achievements of India.
