The lady has her style quotient intact for sure. Meet Niyati Monga the new age fashion designer based out of New Delhi who recently launched her resort line called, Kinaraa (riverside). Where on one hand not many designers in India take the risk of designing a beach wear, the young designer has launched an entire collection of resort wear line that boasts of fashionably crafted tankinis, Maillots and skirtinis.

The collection is designed keeping in mind the design sensibilities of Indian women when it comes to sporting resort wear, a modest approach to the otherwise bold fashion extravaganza. From the age group of fifteen to sixty-five, the resort line has a happy palette of shades in reds, pinks and greens aesthetically combined with black and blue.

What makes the collection special is SPF 50+ protection that each fabric has along with carefully chosen higher neck lines and lower leg lines. Niyati has also crafted beach accessories like bags, hats and headbands with the same fabric and the entire collection is water repellent

Designing since last year the lady says, “Designing for the Indian market is not a challenge for me, it’s rather easier. I enjoy creating garments for women here as I feel I can understand them better. Born and brought up here, I interact with all kinds of women. “

“Every city in India has different kinds of people and its fun to actually make designs that will suit all. India itself is very diverse. Colours that work up north don’t work down south and the same goes for the cuts and patterns. It’s fun not a challenge!”

“I love to design maillots the most and coordinating accessories (bags and hats) with them are real fun. Once all put together the looks come out beautifully.”

The price bracket of the collection ranges from INR 3000 to 5000 and available in sizes that range from 6-22 (UK size).

So, this season, as the designer says herself, lets ‘up’ the style quotient by the waterside!
