The title of the movie might talk about only zero but that’s the only thing this movie doesn’t score on any segment. An excellent effort by director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari the movie entrusts everyone’s faith in hope, struggle and hard work.
A good movie is a story well told, and Nil Battey Sannata is an amazing story of a mother who takes her leap of faith when she decides to restart her own studies to teach her child on her own because she cannot afford the expensive coaching classes.
A take on the realities of life, the film takes you through the realistic life of Chanda Sahay and her daughter Apeksha Sahay who is a studying in tenth grade but has no interest in studies and absolutely no aim either. The child believes there’s no scope for her future because her mother is a maid who works in other people’s house. How Chanda shows her daughter the strength of hope and belief in one’s dreams is what the movie is all about.
With brilliant actors like Swara Bhaskar who plays the role of the mother and Ratna Pathak Shah, who plays Chanda’s employer, the movie comes out as an audience’s delight. The child actor, Ria has done brilliant work and in fact, the entire child star cast team has shown commendable acting. Pankaj Tripathi has done a brilliant job of a government school principal.
Produced under the banner of Eros International, Nil Battey Sannata is a movie every child must watch to get a reality check on why studies matter so much in life and why every parent wants nothing but the best for their children.
Good music and good dialogues, the film is a pure entertainment with a strong message. I would strongly want to recommend it to all school students.
