It was the preview of her summer collection Love For Cotton (LFC) and Nadura Collection. When I walked in, the studio was abuzz with excited women selecting dresses for themselves. The pret line included summer dresses in soft pastels and myriad designs. In an endeavor to support FDCI and Ministry of Textiles to promote Cottons, the LFC is designed keeping in mind the style quotient, comfort and sophistication that the fabric commands.
Nadura Collection is the exclusive Resort Wear Line by Mouktika which is launched keeping Style and Comfort as the key elements .Nadura is the girl who is carefree, has no inhibitions and believes in herself. She is confident and versatile, and fashion comes to her effortlessly. A chic range with mirror work, Nadura is for the elegant dresser.
While some were trying out a design, some were busy in conversation with Padma, who was discussing what would look best for them! Standing tall, she can give most models a run for their money, meet Padma Swarupa, a versatile stylist and designer and the brain behind Mouktika, the Style and Design Studio!
Mouktika is a bespoke style brand started by Padma Swarupa, from her studio in Gurgaon, five years back. Once a banker, Padma realized it was the wrong figures she was focusing on and thus came her big shift. She launched Mouktika to offer all styling solutions under one roof!
“I believe style is a personal expression of who you are, and every time you dress you are asserting a part of yourself. Thus, it’s important that one should enhance what’s the strongest attribute of one’s self and be comfortable with it at the same time.” Says the young entrepreneur.
Padma also modelled for various fashion labels and owing to her innate sense of style, her friends and family, who knew she had every element to start the style store, encouraged her.
“While we create bespoke fashion ahead of trend and bring across finest talent work for each of our client, the bottom-line is to make things approachable. We work in tandem with our customers on all things i.e. personal style, fashion and beauty,” asserts Padma.
The studio offers ‘dressing & styling’ for that special occasion, which is every day and with experts like herself, who focus on body shape analysis, color view , skin tone and texture analytics , to give options galore for clients to reinvent themselves every day
Apart from Personal Styling Service Mouktika Style segment offers Fashion Styling that entails creating and designing looks for Ad campaigns, Movies, Digital Videos and Power Dressing for Styling Corporates, Entrepreneurs, and Dignitaries.
Mouktika Design segments offers- Evening Wear and Special Occasion Wear for women in western line of clothing along with Red Carpet Gowns.
