All the book lovers across the world who alike me, find it an adventure of its own kind, to venture in the magical and engrossing world of a bookstore and come out triumphant with a couple of enticing books, will agree with me that no matter where you are or what situation you are in, a book is your gateway to a parallel universe where you live with a character, you can feel the emotions and thrills of their lives and feel the surroundings just the same, you become a different person and completely forget your own troubles. Add to this, if you come across few of the unique essence novels!

Goodreads rating: 4.11/5
With a fair rating of 4.11, this book is preceded by River God and Followed by Warlock in The ‘Egyptian’ Novel series. The first edition was published in 1995 by Pan Macmillan.
The seventh scroll is a masterpiece weaved with thrill, intricate geographical and mythological details. It combines well ancient mystery, drama, adventure and action and creates a real than life narration.
One of the remarkable things I liked about the story is that though it has a male protagonist, Royan, a lady Egyptologist, who is just a step back from the protagonist is portrayed as a strong woman physically, mentally and intellectually and equally contributes in the story.

Goodreads rating: 3.66/5
The first edition of this book was published in 2006 by Harper Collin Publishers.
Written by author of PS, I Love You, this book seems to be a bizarre and random writing, however beneath all the psychological instability, obsession to find lost things, bitter sweet moments and a complete unpredicted shift of story this novel is philosophical.
It represents the fragment of the struggles which everyone face in their life, from the need of closures to finding the answers of long lost questions, we all can have our own takeaways from this novel.

Goodreads Rating: 3.49/5
This book written by an Indian author was first published in 2013 by Om Books International.
The beauty of the story lies in the groundwork that the author has done on mythology for the story and the clarity of the structure and content of book which keeps you mesmerized and connected to the story from beginning to end.
Unlike some books from the Indian authors on mythology, you can really appreciate the complexities and a mature writing pattern by the author.
Though the novel is of the fiction genre, it evokes the curiosity of the reader to go deep into searching more about epic tales.

Goodreads Rating: 3.43/5
The first edition of the book was published in 1991 by Warner Books.
The book had received 3.43 out of 5 by Goodreads and is said to lack the consistency unlike its prequel, the Pulitzer prize winner, ‘Gone with the wind’ which was published in 1936.
However it’s a salve for those fans who had been waiting for Rhett Butler and Scarlett’s life to cross paths again and know how all these years contributed to the ending of this classic love story.
This book is my personal favourite because of the character sketch of Scarlett. Though she has been portrayed to be mostly the self-absorbed and self-centric character but her struggles, fight and passion to survive, thrive and to provide a comfortable life for her children reflects another side of her personality.
She was a woman starting her struggles from the ruins of American Civil War to the glories of elite society of 19th century, not only fighting for her obsessions but also her true love for Rhett.
She had redefined feminism and will power of a woman through all her adventures and heartbreaks.
