Started by a team of four young, enterprising and modest friends, Mani Singh Cheema, Arjun Jain, Chaitanya Mathur and Aman Kumar, The Grub Fest is celebrating its second season this year and a chat with the participants of the fest confirms it is bigger and better!
“This is our second edition and we are elated to have made it this voluminous with a bigger venue than last year and even more participants. We have some very interesting sponsors which our audiences will definitely love,” expressed Mani Singh Cheema.
A sure recommendation from our end, the fest will not leave you disappointed. With flavours from around the world in platters that entice you, the fest is a place you forever want to be in. For a change, you might want a bigger stomach, if your own appetite lets you down.
Make sure to climb up to the container restaurant, The Grub Stories, a tie-up of the Grub team with Chef Mousim, the first of its kind multi-storey travelling restaurant with a terrace bar to enjoy a 360 degree view of the festival. “We are excited to embark on this journey, starting from this year’s grub Fest. We will move around the world to share cuisines and experiences,” says an elated Chef Mousim.
Once you enter the venue, you will walk through The Grub Market, selling organic and farm produce in various options, thanks to its curators, the husband wife duo, Pavit and Gurpreet Singh owners of Lyall Farm store.
Then there’s the ultra ‘Luxury Zone’ by The Leela Ambience offering golf putting and golf simulation space, a heavenly spa apart from some awesome food.
Food without music is body without soul. And, the fest is not cruel. There’s live DJ and some very special presentations by Nikhil Chinappa, Dj Khushi, DJ Saif, Vir Das and many more, not to forget the Flash mob by Classverse. Then there are the Chef demonstrations at The Grub Theatre, which has celebrity chefs from around the country; Aditya Bal, Jaydeep Mukherjee by Indigo Deil, Sneha Saikia ad Neha lakhani by Nearbuy and Relisted, Pablo Morales, Valdimir A Villar and leidy liz Levitan by The Leela amongst others.
