You will need:
3tbsp sugar
2 cups water and
Juice of 2 limes

Make sure the watermelon is properly deseeded before blending the pieces. Sieve the puree into a pitcher and add water, sugar and the lime juice. Mix well until the water dissolves and pour it in a glass filled with ice cubes to have it on the rocks or simply dash in the ice cubes into the pitcher only to make it chilled.

Garnish it with mint leaves or a lemon slice or keep it plain n simple otherwise!

Most people find it difficult to enjoy this seasonal fruit that comes for a very brief period around summers, owing to its sharp sourness that hits the palate. Here’s a quick and fancy style that makes it easy to savour the plum.

Boil about 500gms of plum, let it cool and then squish them one by one to take off the skin and seed. Hold your hand over a bowl to let the pulp squeeze out into the bowl.

Add black pepper, black salt, roasted cumin powder, sugar and salt, all as per your taste and finally a little citric acid as a preservative to the boiled mush to refrigerate and store. Once chilled, add ice cubes to the glass, fill up a quarter of the glass with the mush and add water. Stir it well and enjoy a chilled Plum Panna!

Garnish it with mint leaves!
